# Nicaragua Hydro Portal: Hydrogeological Data and Maps

> Open geospatial platform for Nicaragua's hydrogeological data and knowledge. Provides
> access to hydrogeological maps, well data, and spatial datasets to support water well
> siting, groundwater resource assessment, and water supply planning.

The Nicaragua Hydro Portal was developed by HydroLOGICA and Northwater International,
hosted and maintained by Hydrata. It serves government agencies, NGOs, engineering
consultants, and researchers working on Nicaragua's water resources. Built on GeoNode 5.x,
Django 5, and GeoServer.

Target users: hydrogeologists, water supply engineers, government water agencies,
international development organisations (IDB, World Bank, USAID), and academics
working on groundwater resource management in Nicaragua and Central America.
